Demotic 11.0 Released
WORKS WITH: PHP >= 8.1

MIGHT NOT WORK ON: PHP 8.4.*
THIS RELEASE REQUIRES PHP 8.1 AND ABOVE. A VERSION THAT WORKS CORRECTLY WITH PHP 8.4.* IS CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT.
A slow but sure progress to continue making the CMS work with the latest PHP 8.3.* versions. This fixes a number of features that were not working correctly in the previous 10.0 release in the newer 8.3.* versions.
We have also upgraded some of the Composer packages to the latest in this release.
A small improvement is the addition of a ipFaviconUrl() function that comes shipped in this release. The CMS can now autodetect if a favicon image (PNG or ICO only) has been set at the site root or at the root of the current active Demotic theme and print it out accordingly.
HOW TO UPDATE
Before running the update instructions below backup your site's files and database.
- Open the "update-11.0.sql" file in the "Updates" folder.
- Run the SQL statements as specified.
- Copy the "Demotic" framework and replace the one in your installation.
- Test to see if everything is working right.
